As runners up to in the PRISA PRISMs Atmosphere Communications will present two case-studies. The first for its client HBD where it implemented a traditional media relations campaign.
The venture capital company started in 2000 by Mark Shuttleworth – sold no deals in the first six years of its existence. In 2006 the company restructured and appointed Atmosphere Communications to handle its public relations. The company has now sold its first deal for a fantastic profit – and it has attracted a large number of deals with exceptional potential. In just six months, with their help, HBD built a solid, industry-leading profile and successfully raised awareness for this much needed form of funding. Atmosphere’s account director for HBD, Julie Bekker will take PR-Net through the consultancy’s strategy, approach, results and successes.
The second case-study will be presented by Donoven Gloy, Atmosphere’s creative director, who will explain how Atmosphere’s consultancy resulted in a staggering 277% increase in traffic to the site on a shoestring budget and without advertising support. He’ll go into how Atmosphere built Women24’s credibility as a serious editorial and advertising vehicle. More specifically, he’ll outline how the launch South Africa’s first video podcast of scale in celebration of a partnership with Cape Town Fashion Week was used synergistically to profile another of its clients, YDE.
