Andre Fourie of Sentient Communications and Tim Shier, Marketing Manager from Quirk eMarketing will give a 30 minute presentation on PR 2.0 - what it is, what it isn't and how PR agencies can get involved without getting burnt.

As a industry, PR remains about getting the right information, to the right people, using the right medium. Social Media has introduced a number of new media to the PR arsenal. Just as good consultants know when to talk to Business Day and when to rather go to one of the trade press, a good PR consultant will know when to put it out on twitter, when to blog it and when to just leave it alone.

Tim and Sarah will share some of their experiences in the social media space and for those PR agencies just starting to get involved, give some guidelines on where to begin.

Directions

Leaving the airport on the airport approach road;
Turn left onto the N2 Highway. Look for the directional sign marked ” Somerset West”.
Approximately 25 km from the airport, take the R44 Broadway Boulevard Exit.
Turn left at the first set of traffic lights.
At the next traffic lights, turn right onto the Main Road.
Travel straight past three sets of traffic lights.
At the fourth set of traffic lights, turn left into Lourensford Road.
Travel straight down Lourensford Road for approximately 4km past the Shell Select petrol station and past the perimeter fence of Erinvale Golf Club.
Turn left after the golf course.
